Fitting & Care - How to Fit Your Bike Cover

How to Fit Your Cover

Standard Bikes (Hybrid, Road, MTB)

Rule of thumb: Fit from the front towards the back.
Start at the handlebars and finish at the rear wheel for a smooth, even fit.
Use this for your standard bike cover.

Steps

  1. Hold the cover with the logo at the handlebars.

  2. Drape it over the bars and front wheel.

  3. Pull it gently back over the saddle and rear wheel.

  4. Check the fabric sits around the pedals and chainring.

  5. Adjust the hem with the toggle or elastic to secure.

  6. Use the lock-through slot (if fitted) to attach your lock.

Cargo Bikes

Rule of thumb: Fit from the back towards the front.
Cargo bikes have larger frames and boxes, so this method avoids snagging.
Use your cargo bike cover and follow these steps:

Steps

  1. Start at the rear rack or wheel.

  2. Pull the cover forward over the cargo box or bin.

  3. Ensure the handlebars and brake levers sit comfortably inside.

  4. Check that any straps or toggles sit under the box edges.

  5. Tighten the hem or straps evenly along the base.

  6. Use the lock slot if fitted for extra security.

Longtail Bikes

Rule of thumb: Fit from the back towards the front.
Longtail bikes have extended racks and sometimes child seats.
Use your longtail bike cover and follow these steps:

Steps

  1. Begin at the tail end. Drape the cover over the rear rack and accessories.

  2. Move forward along the frame, covering the saddle and top tube.

  3. Pull the front of the cover over the handlebars and front wheel.

  4. Make sure child seats or panniers are covered completely.

  5. Tighten the hem or toggle cord to finish.

  6. Use lock-through points to keep it secure outdoors.

FAQs

Can I cover the bike when it’s wet?
Yes. It’s fine to cover a damp bike. Make sure both bike and cover are aired later to prevent trapped moisture.

Will it fit with child seats or panniers?
Yes. The XL,  Longtail and Longtail WS covers are shaped for child seats and extended racks. See longtail bike cover.

How do I stop wind uplift?
Tighten the Elasticated Toggle System and, if outdoors, thread your lock through the cover and frame.

Is it safe for indoor use as well?
Yes. BikeParka covers are lightweight and breathable — perfect for sheds, garages and balconies.

Will it fit my cargo bike?
Yes. The cargo bike cover is made for front-loader styles and can be adjusted around boxes or bins.
