Tough, tear-resistant ripstop polyester with a PU waterproof coating — and every seam is taped, not just water-resistant. All BikeParka covers are PFAS- and PFC-free, so the same weather protection without the “forever chemicals”.

Waterproof. Plenty of covers are made of waterproof fabric but leak at the stitching — every BikeParka seam is fully taped and sealed, so rain, snow and ice stay on the outside.

The URBAN has built-in lock-through panels. The Longtail and Longtail WS have two lock-through slots, and the Cargo has a lock-through slot on most models. The STASH and XL / MTB have brass eyelets at the hem for threading a cable lock. Locking through also anchors the cover in wind. The Kids / BMX relies on its snug elasticated fit.

Cinch the toggle hem and the elasticated sections so the cover sits low and hugs the wheels — that’s what they’re for. In exposed spots, put your lock through the lock-through panel or eyelets: bike and cover are then anchored together.

Yes — that’s the job. BikeParkas are designed for bikes stored outdoors through rain, snow, ice and everything between. Give it the occasional wipe-down and it will keep going season after season.

Every cover folds into its own Stuff Sac — the standard covers pack to roughly 20 × 12 cm and weigh about 400 g, so it drops into a pannier or backpack when you ride off.

For a longtail with rear child seats fitted (Tern GSD with Clubhouse+, and similar), it’s the Longtail WS — cut wider and taller for the seats. For a standard bike with a seat on the rear carrier, the XL / MTB usually has the room.

Plenty of people do — on camper vans, tow-bar racks and road trips. The one thing to know: strap it down well with extra bungees so it can’t flap or catch the wind, and keep it clear of any sharp edges on the rack. Because every rack and journey is different, we can’t offer a guarantee for use on a moving vehicle — that’s true of pretty much every bike cover we’ve seen, whatever the label says. Strapped down properly, it does the same job on the back of a van as it does at home: keeps the weather and road grime off the bike.

That’s the RoughSac’s job — our heavy-duty bike storage and transport bag. It keeps mud, dirt and grease off the car, takes bikes up to 195 × 105 cm, front wheel in place or off.

This is one of the RoughSac’s best tricks. Many rail operators — in the UK, across Europe and beyond — only accept full-size bikes when they’re bagged, and a bagged bike often counts as ordinary luggage where an open bike needs a reservation. Bag it, board, and the RoughSac packs down at the other end. Rules vary by operator, so check yours before you travel.

You can see a little condensation on a covered bike — it's unavoidable with any outdoor cover, whatever the brand. The good news: it vents out on its own. Where the cover rests against the bike it takes a little longer to clear, so give those contact points a moment when you lift the cover. Fitting over a dry bike and smoothing the drape helps keep it to a minimum.

Every BikeParka is made with the highest UV treatment available to us — but UV damage is unavoidable over time, for any fabric. It works like sunscreen: the treatment blocks most of it, and some damaging UV will always get through. It isn't always possible, but limiting direct sun — especially in summer — will increase the longevity of your BikeParka.

No harm done — just lift the cover for a few minutes later on to let the moisture out, and let everything dry before packing the cover into its Stuff Sac for a long stretch.
