Gazelle Cargo Bike Covers — Makki Load & Cabby

Gazelle's cargo family spans both shapes: the Makki Load front-loader and the Cabby C380. The Cabby name used to belong to Gazelle's old fold-box front-loader, but today's C380 is a longtail with an extended rear carrier, so the two take different covers.

The Makki Load takes the BikeParka Cargo. The Cabby C380 usually takes the Longtail WS, since most carry child seats. The rest of the Gazelle range — the C7, C8, C380, T10 and T11 city bikes — is listed below too.

Which BikeParka fits your Gazelle?

The handlebar widths below are the measured figures from our own fit database. Where we have not measured a bike we say so rather than guessing.

Makki Load Front-loader Approximately 263cm 69cm Cargo
Cabby C380 (current longtail) Longtail 196–200cm depending on frame size 68cm Usually Longtail WS; Longtail without seats
Arroyo C7 HMB Standard Not measured 58cm XL / MTB, or STASH / URBAN — the narrowest Gazelle we hold

CityZen T10 HMB Standard Not measured 65cm XL / MTB

Gazelle fitting notes

  • Only one Gazelle in our database is a front-loader. The Makki Load takes the Cargo. Everything else is either the Cabby C380 longtail or a standard city bike — so if you have arrived here looking for a box-bike cover, the Makki Load row is the one you want.
  • The city range clusters tightly. Thirteen of the fifteen Gazelles we hold are standard city bikes, and every one we have measured sits between 58cm and 68cm across the bars — eleven of the twelve between 64cm and 68cm. That is past the 63cm the STASH and URBAN are cut for, which is why the XL / MTB is the default answer across the range.
  • The Arroyo C7 HMB is the exception. At 58cm it is the narrowest Gazelle we hold and sits comfortably inside the STASH and URBAN, so both are genuine options alongside the XL / MTB.
  • Watch which Ultimate you have. The Ultimate C8 HMB is measured at 64cm; the Ultimate C380 HMB is a low-confidence entry with no measured bar width. Same family name, different level of certainty — tell us which one you own.
  • Bar type is not the deciding factor here. The Gazelle range splits roughly evenly between riser and flat bars and contains no drop bars at all, so width is what determines the cover rather than shape.
  • Four models are low confidence. Chamonix, Grenoble C7+ HMB, Medeo T10 HMB and Ultimate C380 HMB all point towards the XL / MTB, but we would rather confirm the exact model with you than have you order on our guess.

Child seats on the Cabby, and front baskets or crates on the Makki Load, change the shape. If you run either, send us your exact model and what is fitted and we will check before you order.

All BikeParka covers are made from waterproof, seam-sealed ripstop fabric and are PFAS- and PFC-free. Adjustable toggles help draw the cover in around the bike on windy days, and each cover packs into its own Stuff Sac. The Cargo, Longtail, Longtail WS and URBAN have lock-through openings, allowing cover and bike to be secured together; the STASH and XL / MTB have brass eyelets at the hem for threading a cable lock.

How to fit a longtail cover

The BikeParka Longtail and Longtail WS are fitted from the back of the bike towards the front. Start by pulling the rear of the cover over the rear deck, rack or child seats. Work the cover forward along the bike, then pull the front over the handlebars. Finally, adjust the toggles to draw the cover in around the bike.

Cover sizes

The BikeParka Cargo cover measures approximately 276cm long, 130cm high and up to 120cm wide, sized to drop over front-loaders and box trikes with room for baskets and rain tents removed or folded flat. The Longtail and Longtail WS fit bikes up to approximately 210cm long with handlebars up to about 80cm, the WS being the same length cut wider and taller for fitted child seats. The XL / MTB takes handlebars up to 100cm, and the STASH and URBAN are the same size for standard bikes with handlebars up to 63cm — they differ only in locking.

Gazelle cover questions

Which cover fits the Gazelle Makki Load?

The BikeParka Cargo. At around 263cm the Makki Load sits within the Cargo cover's roughly 276cm length, and its 69cm bars are far inside the 120cm the Cargo allows.

Which cover fits the Gazelle Cabby C380?

Most C380s carry child seats, so we recommend the Longtail WS. Without seats, the standard Longtail fits. Its 68cm bars are inside the roughly 80cm both longtail covers allow.

I have the old Gazelle Cabby with the folding box — which cover?

The original Cabby is a front-loader, so the Cargo cover is the one to choose. Message us if you're unsure which Cabby you have.

Which cover fits a Gazelle Ultimate C8 HMB?

The XL / MTB. The Ultimate C8 HMB measures 64cm across the bars, just past the 63cm the STASH and URBAN are cut for. Note that the Ultimate C380 HMB is a separate, low-confidence entry in our database with no measured bar width — if that is the one you own, message us first.

Which cover fits a Gazelle Arroyo C7 HMB?

The Arroyo is the narrowest Gazelle we hold at 58cm across the bars, so it sits comfortably inside the STASH and URBAN as well as the roomier XL / MTB. Choose the URBAN if you want lock-through panels to secure cover and bike together, or the STASH for the simpler version with brass hem eyelets.

Which cover fits a Gazelle Paris, Vento or Avignon?

The XL / MTB. The Vento C7 HMB measures 66cm across the bars, the Paris C7 HMB 67cm and the Avignon C8 HMB 68cm — all past the 63cm limit of the STASH and URBAN, and all well within the XL / MTB's 100cm.

Which cover fits a Gazelle Chamonix or Grenoble?

Both point towards the XL / MTB — we have them at 65cm across the bars — but they are low-confidence entries in our fit database, so we would want to confirm your exact model and year before you order rather than give you a flat answer.
