Rad Power RadWagon Bike Covers

The Rad Power RadWagon is one of the most popular family longtails around, and most of them are parked outside between school runs. The BikeParka Longtail range is shaped for its extended rear deck.

Both generations follow the same rule: the Longtail with no child seats fitted, the Longtail WS with them. The rest of the Rad Power range is in the table below — the RadRunner is a standard-shaped e-bike rather than a longtail, and the folding RadExpand 5 is a special case.

Which BikeParka fits your RadWagon?

Model Approximate length Recommended cover
RadWagon 5 (current) 193cm Longtail with no child seats fitted, or Longtail WS with child seats fitted
RadWagon 4 Approximately 202cm Longtail with no child seats fitted, or Longtail WS with child seats fitted
RadRunner (Plus / 3) 171.5cm XL / MTB
RadExpand 5 (folding) Not recorded No recommendation — see the question below

Child seats, baskets, canopies, crates and other accessories can change the fit. For an unusual setup, send us your exact bike model and accessories and we’ll check before you order.

All BikeParka covers are made from waterproof, seam-sealed ripstop fabric and include lock-through openings, allowing the cover and bike to be secured together. Adjustable toggles help draw the cover in around the bike on windy days, and each cover packs into its own Stuff Sac.

How to fit a longtail cover

The BikeParka Longtail and Longtail WS are fitted from the back of the bike towards the front. Start by pulling the rear of the cover over the rear deck, rack or child seats. Work the cover forward along the bike, then pull the front over the handlebars. Finally, adjust the toggles to draw the cover in around the bike.

RadWagon cover questions

Does the BikeParka Longtail fit a RadWagon 4?

Yes, with no child seats fitted. With Thule seats or a caboose fitted, choose the wider and taller Longtail WS. Length is the tight dimension on the RadWagon 4 — at approximately 202cm there is about 7–10cm spare in the Longtail covers. Check the bare bike if a front rack or a rear accessory is fitted. A rack-mounted child seat means the Longtail WS. Its 71cm bars are comfortably inside the 80cm both longtail covers take.

Does it fit the newer RadWagon 5?

Yes. The RadWagon 5 is slightly shorter than the 4 at 193cm, so both the Longtail and Longtail WS fit following the same child-seats rule.

Which cover fits a Rad Power RadRunner?

The XL / MTB. The RadRunner, RadRunner Plus and RadRunner 3 are standard-shaped e-bikes rather than longtails — 171.5cm long with 71cm bars — so they take the XL / MTB rather than either of the longtail covers. It is the roomiest of our standard rain covers, which suits the RadRunner’s fat tyres and upright bars.

Do you make a cover for the Rad Power RadExpand 5?

We have no recommendation for the RadExpand 5, and we would rather say so than guess. Folded, nothing in the range fits it — BikeParka does not make a folding-bike cover. Left unfolded, a standard STASH or URBAN may well work, but a compact folder is often small enough that a standard cover is simply too long for it. Measure yours and send us the figures, and we’ll tell you honestly whether anything we make will suit it.

What about running boards and the front rack?

Running boards fit under either cover. A loaded front rack or console can change the fit at the front, so message us if your setup is unusual.
