Ridgeback Bike Covers — Advance, Arcus & Errand
Ridgeback builds everyday bikes — the sort ridden to work, to school and to the shops rather than kept for weekends. Bikes in daily use rarely make it back indoors: they get left in a front garden, a side passage, a communal bike store or a yard, where they sit out whatever the week's weather does.
Most of the Ridgeback range takes the XL / MTB, our wider cover. The Electron takes the STASH or the URBAN, and there are a few models we would rather confirm with you before recommending anything.
Which BikeParka fits your Ridgeback?
| Bike type | Models | Recommended cover |
|---|---|---|
| Hybrid, commuter and utility | Advance, Arcus 3 (including the Arcus 3W low-step), Errand, Speed, Motion | XL / MTB |
| Standard-bar models | Electron | STASH or URBAN |
| Not yet confirmed | Storm*, Cyclone*, Rapide* | Message us to confirm |
* We don't hold confirmed fit data for the Storm, Cyclone and Rapide, so we would rather check than guess. Send us the model and year and we'll tell you which cover to go for.
Accessories matter more than the frame here, because everyday bikes carry the most of them. Racks and panniers, a rear child seat, a basket, mudguards, bar-mounted lights or a phone mount all add width or length, and a bike that would otherwise take the STASH or URBAN often needs the XL / MTB once they are fitted. If you are unsure, send us your exact bike model and accessories and we'll check before you order.
All BikeParka covers are made from waterproof, seam-sealed ripstop fabric, and they're PFAS- and PFC-free. Adjustable toggles draw the cover in around the bike on windy days, and each one packs into its own Stuff Sac. The URBAN has built-in lock-through panels so cover and bike can be secured together; the STASH and XL / MTB have brass eyelets at the hem for threading a cable lock.
Which size cover?
The STASH and the URBAN are the same size and fit the same bikes: road, gravel, hybrid, commuter and city bikes, plus standard e-bikes, with handlebars up to 63cm wide. The XL / MTB is wider, taking handlebars up to 100cm, so it is the cover for mountain bikes, trekking bikes, bigger frames, bulkier e-bikes, or a standard bike carrying a rear child seat. Measure your bars end to end and work from that number.
Ridgeback cover questions
Which cover fits a Ridgeback Advance?
The XL / MTB. It takes handlebars up to 100cm, and it also leaves room if the bike is carrying a rack, panniers or a rear child seat.
What fits a Ridgeback Arcus 3?
The XL / MTB, and that includes the Arcus 3W low-step. The STASH and URBAN are built for handlebars up to 63cm, which is narrower than this bike needs.
Which cover suits a Ridgeback Electron?
The Electron takes the STASH or the URBAN — same size, same fit. If the bike is locked up outside, the URBAN is worth a look: it has built-in lock-through panels so cover and bike can be secured together, while the STASH has brass eyelets at the hem for a cable lock.
