Batavus Bike Covers — Finez, Dinsdag & Quip

Batavus is a Dutch city-bike maker, and its bikes are built for upright, everyday riding — the commute, the school run, the shops. They're used the Dutch way too: parked outside all year, by the front door, in a passage or against a wall, rather than lifted indoors after every trip.

Every Batavus model in our fit database takes the XL / MTB, and that's worth saying plainly. Upright Dutch bikes have wide, swept-back bars, and they usually carry a rack, mudguards, a chain guard and sometimes a basket or a child seat as well — so they need the bigger cover even though they aren't mountain bikes.

Accessories change the fit more than the frame does. Front baskets, crates, rear racks with panniers left on, mirrors, big saddles and rear child seats all add height or width, and a Batavus is rarely ridden without at least a couple of those. If you're not sure, send us your exact bike model and accessories and we'll check before you order.

All BikeParka covers are made from waterproof, seam-sealed ripstop fabric, and they're PFAS- and PFC-free. Adjustable toggles draw the cover in around the bike on windy days, which matters if your bike lives outside all year, and each one packs into its own Stuff Sac. The URBAN has lock-through openings so cover and bike can be secured together; the STASH and XL / MTB have brass eyelets at the hem for threading a cable lock.

Which size cover?

The XL / MTB takes handlebars up to 100cm and is made for mountain bikes, trekking bikes, bigger frames, bulkier e-bikes, or a standard bike with a rear child seat — and it's the size for every Batavus in our data, because those swept-back bars are wider than they look. The STASH and the URBAN are the same size and fit as each other, for standard bikes — road, gravel, hybrid, commuter, city and standard e-bikes — with handlebars up to 63cm, so they suit a narrower bike kept alongside the Batavus rather than the Batavus itself. Between those two, the URBAN has built-in lock-through panels so a lock can pass through the cover and the bike together, while the STASH has brass eyelets at the hem for a cable lock.

Batavus cover questions

Which cover fits a Batavus Finez?

The XL / MTB. Like the rest of the Batavus range in our data, the Finez has wide, swept-back bars, and the XL / MTB takes handlebars up to 100cm.

Do the Dinsdag and the Quip take the same cover?

Yes — both take the XL / MTB, as does every other Batavus model we have fit data for.

Can I lock the cover to my Batavus if it lives outside?

Yes. The XL / MTB has brass eyelets at the hem so you can thread a cable lock through the cover and around the bike, and the adjustable toggles pull it in tight on windy days.
