Carrera Bike Covers — Subway, Crossfire & Impel

Carrera bikes are sold through Halfords and are one of the most common sights on UK commutes. They're bought as everyday hybrids and commuter bikes, so they tend to spend their lives locked to a rack at work, chained to a fence at home or parked in a shared hallway or garden — all places where the weather gets at them.

Across the range, the Carrera models in our fit database take the XL / MTB. The flat, wide bars and the fuller frames need more room than a standard road-bike-shaped cover gives.

Which BikeParka fits your Carrera?

Accessories change the fit more than the frame does. Rear racks, panniers left on the bike, large baskets, mirrors, phone mounts and rear child seats all add height or width, and a bike that would otherwise slip under a smaller cover can need the next size up. If you're not sure, send us your exact bike model and accessories and we'll check before you order.

All BikeParka covers are made from waterproof, seam-sealed ripstop fabric, and they're PFAS- and PFC-free. Adjustable toggles draw the cover in around the bike on windy days, and each one packs into its own Stuff Sac. The URBAN has lock-through openings so cover and bike can be secured together; the STASH and XL / MTB have brass eyelets at the hem for threading a cable lock.

Which size cover?

The XL / MTB takes handlebars up to 100cm and is made for mountain bikes, trekking bikes, bigger frames, bulkier e-bikes, or a standard bike with a rear child seat — that's the size the Carrera models in our data fall into. If you also keep a narrower bike at home, the STASH and the URBAN are the same size and fit as each other and suit standard bikes — road, gravel, hybrid, commuter, city and standard e-bikes — with handlebars up to 63cm. The difference between those two is security: the URBAN has built-in lock-through panels so a lock can pass through the cover and the bike together, while the STASH has brass eyelets at the hem for a cable lock instead.

Which cover fits a Carrera Subway?

The XL / MTB. It takes handlebars up to 100cm, which leaves room for the Subway's flat bars and anything you've added, such as a rack or a set of panniers.

Will a cover fit a Carrera Crossfire with a rack and panniers on?

Yes — the XL / MTB is the size to use. Panniers left in place add width, so if yours are large ones, send us the model and we'll check the fit before you order.

Which cover fits a Carrera Impel?

The XL / MTB. It's the size we recommend for bulkier e-bikes, and the brass eyelets at the hem let you thread a cable lock through the cover and around the frame.
