Decathlon Bike Covers for Elops, Riverside & B'Twin
Decathlon sells more bicycles than almost anyone in Europe, and the range is unusually broad: Elops city and e-city bikes, Riverside hybrids, Rockrider mountain bikes, B'Twin kids' bikes and a longtail cargo e-bike. There is no single Decathlon cover, because those are not one shape.
The right BikeParka depends on how wide the handlebars are, how long the bike is, and whether a rack or child seat is fitted. Most Decathlon e-bikes take the XL / MTB. The slimmer city bikes take the STASH or URBAN. Kids' bikes up to 20 inches take the Kids / BMX.
Decathlon e-bikes and hybrids
Handlebar width is what decides these. The STASH and URBAN take bars up to 63cm; the XL / MTB takes up to 100cm and leaves room for a rear child seat.
| Decathlon model | Handlebar width | Recommended cover |
|---|---|---|
| Elops Speed 900 E | Approximately 62cm | STASH or URBAN — measure your bars to confirm they are 63cm or under before ordering |
| Elops 500 E / Long Distance 500 E | 62cm | STASH or URBAN on the bare bike. With a rear child seat fitted, the XL / MTB |
| Elops 900 E | Approximately 64cm | XL / MTB |
| Elops 920 E | Approximately 65cm | XL / MTB |
| Riverside 500 E | Approximately 66cm | XL / MTB |
| Riverside 520 E | Approximately 66cm | XL / MTB |
| Riverside 900 E | Approximately 68cm | XL / MTB |
Decathlon publishes an official 62cm handlebar figure for the Elops 500 E. The other widths above are our own figures, derived from reviews and specification listings rather than published by Decathlon, so we have given them as approximate. If your bike sits near 63cm and you would rather have the closer fit of the STASH or URBAN, measure across the bar ends including the grips and tell us what you get.
Decathlon and B'Twin kids' bikes
The Kids / BMX cover takes bikes up to 140cm long, 120cm high, with handlebars up to 55cm. That covers Decathlon's 16-inch and 20-inch bikes. The 24-inch juniors are past it.
| Decathlon model | Approximate size | Recommended cover |
|---|---|---|
| Discover 900 (16in) | 110cm long, 46cm bars | Kids / BMX |
| B'Twin 500 (16in) | 112cm long, 40cm bars | Kids / BMX |
| Rockrider ST 900 (20in) | 120cm long, 56cm bars | Kids / BMX — the bars are about a centimetre over, so expect a relaxed rather than tailored fit across the front |
| Riverside 900 (20in) | 140cm long, 52cm bars | Kids / BMX — right at the length limit, so measure the bare bike and check with us before ordering |
| B'Twin 500 (20in) | 140cm long, 53cm bars | Kids / BMX — right at the length limit, so measure the bare bike and check with us before ordering |
| Rockrider ST 900 (24in) | 148cm long, 56cm bars | No off-the-shelf fit — get in touch and we will advise |
| B'Twin 500 (24in) | 149cm long, 55cm bars | No off-the-shelf fit — get in touch and we will advise |
Decathlon does not publish overall lengths or handlebar widths for its children's bicycles, so every figure in this table is our own and approximate. The two 20-inch bikes at 140cm sit exactly on the cover's limit, which is why we ask you to measure rather than assume. An adult cover is not the answer for a bike that is slightly too big — it is the wrong shape as well as the wrong size, and it will not sit properly.
Decathlon R500E longtail cargo bike
We do not currently make a cover that fits it, and we would rather say so than sell you something that does not work.
The Elops / B'Twin R500E Longtail is approximately 220cm long. Our Longtail cover takes bikes up to 210cm, so the R500E is about ten centimetres past it — not a marginal call that careful fitting solves. Decathlon does not publish a handlebar width for it either.
It is a bike we get asked about, and a longer longtail cover is something we are looking at. Tell us you ride one and we will let you know if that changes.
Decathlon bike cover questions
Which BikeParka fits a Decathlon Elops?
It depends which Elops. The Elops 900 E and 920 E have wider bars and take the XL / MTB. The Elops 500 E and the Speed 900 E are slimmer at around 62cm and take the STASH or URBAN. Fit a rear child seat to any of them and the XL / MTB is the one, because it is cut with the extra room a seat needs.
Which cover fits a Decathlon Riverside?
The XL / MTB for all of the adult Riverside e-bikes. The 500 E and 520 E sit at approximately 66cm across the bars and the 900 E at approximately 68cm, all wider than the 63cm the standard covers take. The Riverside 900 (20in) is a children's bicycle despite the shared name, and takes the Kids / BMX.
Do you make a cover for the Decathlon R500E longtail?
Not at the moment. At approximately 220cm the R500E is around ten centimetres longer than our Longtail cover takes, and stretching a cover over that gap leaves the bike inadequately covered at one end. A longer longtail cover is under consideration. Let us know you have one and we will tell you if it happens.
Which cover fits a Decathlon or B'Twin kids' bike?
The Kids / BMX for the 16-inch and 20-inch bikes, which is built for bicycles up to 140cm long with handlebars up to 55cm. The two 20-inch models at around 140cm are right on that limit, so measure the bare bike first. The 24-inch juniors are past what it takes.
What about the 24-inch Rockrider ST 900 and B'Twin 500?
Neither has an off-the-shelf fit. Both are approximately 148 to 149cm long against the Kids / BMX cover's 140cm limit, and an adult cover is the wrong shape for a junior bicycle rather than simply a larger version of the right one. Send us your model and we will tell you honestly whether anything we make will work.
How do I know if my Decathlon takes the STASH or the XL / MTB?
Measure across the handlebars, end to end, including the grips. At 63cm or under, the STASH and URBAN both fit. Over that, use the XL / MTB, which takes bars up to 100cm. Decathlon publishes very few handlebar figures, so most of the widths on this page are our own and worth confirming with a tape measure if yours is borderline.
What is the difference between the STASH and the URBAN?
Size and fit are identical, and so is the fabric. The URBAN has built-in lock-through panels so you can thread a lock through the cover and around the bike. The STASH has brass eyelets at the hem for a cable lock instead.
