Frog Bike Covers — Frog 40, 52 & 62

Frog makes lightweight British children's bikes, sized by wheel rather than by age, and they get ridden hard — to school, round the park, up and down the pavement outside the house. Children's bikes are also the ones least likely to be put away properly. They get left in the garden, propped against the fence, parked at the side of the house or squeezed outside a garage that is already full, and they sit there through the rain.

The smaller Frogs take our Kids / BMX cover. The 24-inch models and up are bigger than that cover is cut for, and we would rather check those with you than guess.

Which BikeParka fits your Frog?

Accessories change the shape a cover has to go over. Stabilisers, baskets, a bell and streamers, a rear rack, a name plate, or a parent handle left fitted all add width, height or length, and a bike with stabilisers on is a wider job than the same bike without. If you are close to a size limit, or you are not sure, send us your exact bike model and accessories and we'll check before you order.

All BikeParka covers are made from waterproof, seam-sealed ripstop fabric, and they're PFAS- and PFC-free. Adjustable toggles draw the cover in around the bike on windy days, and each one packs into its own Stuff Sac. The URBAN has built-in lock-through panels so cover and bike can be secured together; the STASH and XL / MTB have brass eyelets at the hem for threading a cable lock.

Which size cover?

The Kids / BMX cover is made for children's bikes and BMX up to 140cm long, 120cm high, with handlebars up to 55cm. It is not intended for small adult bikes or folding bikes, even if they look about the right size. Above that, the STASH and the URBAN are the same size as one another and fit standard bikes with handlebars up to 63cm — they differ in how they lock, not in how they fit — and the XL / MTB takes handlebars up to 100cm for mountain bikes, trekking bikes, bigger frames and bulkier e-bikes. Measure the bars end to end, and measure the bike's overall length and height too, since a junior bike can pass on bar width and still be too long.

Which cover fits a Frog 52?

The Kids / BMX. The Frog 52 is around 46cm across the handlebars, inside the 55cm that cover takes, and a 20-inch bike sits well within its 140cm length and 120cm height. The Frog 47 is around 48cm across the bars and takes the same cover.

What about the Frog 40, the Frog 44 and the Tadpole?

On bar width they all look right for the Kids / BMX — around 42cm, 44cm and 36cm respectively, well inside the 55cm limit. But these three are marked low confidence in our fit database, so we would rather not give you a firm answer on a page. Message us with the model and we will confirm it properly before you order.

Which cover fits a Frog 62, a Frog 67 or a Frog MTB 72?

These are 24-inch and up, and they are past what the Kids / BMX cover is cut for — that one is made for bikes up to 140cm long, 120cm high, with bars up to 55cm. We have not confirmed which adult cover suits them. The STASH and URBAN take handlebars up to 63cm and the XL / MTB takes up to 100cm, so one of those is the likely answer depending on the bike, but we would rather measure than guess.
